the internal conflicts in Lebanon, the relevant fighters laid
mines and booby traps on the demarcation line and frontline
borders in a nonsystematic, haphazard manner.

there is not enough information on the locations of mine
fields and suspected areas which poses a difficulty in
specifying mine locations, types and sizes, and which
creates a tough predicament unresolved with the classical
recognized demining methods.
